Benchmade Benchmite Auto, Silver Titanium Handle, Satin Blade, PlainEdge.  The Benchmite Auto is built off of the Model 310 design and its Levitator locking mechanism, the 3100 employs the same mechanism and adds "spring" to the action. The result is a handy and functional little knife that also makes a great conversation piece with friends. The handle scales are silver anodized titanium for a classic styling.  A slight but firm squeeze on the outside scale "levitates" or raises the locking pin so the blade can open. 

Closing the knife is done simply by pressing on the scale and closing the blade into the skeletonized handles. The unique design of the scales exemplifies Benchmade's commitment to form following function. At only 1 ounce, the BENCHMITE will hardly be noticed in the pocket but when it comes time to cut with it, the Model 3100 will outperform bigger and heavier knives due to it's thin blade and the blade geometry.
