Benchmade
McHenry-Williams Large Axis,
D2 Black Blade, PlainEdge.
This is one smoothest production knives ever.
Designed by the custom knife making duo of Bill McHenry and Jason
Williams. The D2 steel blade features a reverse-curve grind for added
cutting efficiency. The ergonomic handle design is founded on heat
treated, T410 stainless steel double liners and then topped off with
machined, aerospace G10 laminate scales for fit and comfort no matter the
task. Double thumb studs
facilitate easy one handed opening and closing.
This is a total ambidextrous tool because of the Axis lock's
function, the dual thumb studs and the removable/reversible pocket
clip.
The
blade material is D2 coated with
BT2 titanium nitride or uncoated. Blade hardness is 59-61 HRC. Blade
length is 3.9 x .115 inches, with an overall length of 8.8 inches when
opened and a closed length of 4.9 inches, handle material is G-10, 410
stainless steel liners, weight is 4.5 oz.
Reversible pocket clip. The
handle shape provides for a very solid grip and fits unobtrusively in the
pocket.
