Gransfors Bruks Hunter's Axe is the first and only axe to win an award from the Swedish Society of
Crafts & Design. It’s
a beautiful, well-balanced tool with a curved face, a thin head and
gently rounded poll. Made
for hunters, but popular with log builders. The butt is forged thinner
than normal, gently rounded and burnished to a Flay Poll to be used when
skinning an animal or working a log. Circular grooved handle surface
gives steady grip even when hands are wet. 3.25" face, 1.5 lb. head, and
19" hickory handle. The
axe is provided with a grain-leather sheath with snap fastener.
