Bruks Small Splitting Axe with Collar Guard. The
Gransfors Bruks splitting axe’s blade starts off concave and fairly
thin, allowing easy penetration into the wood, where upon the thickening
axe head exerts enormous splitting pressure. The small splitting axe,
with 2-1/2 lb. head, 2-1/2” face & 20” textured hickory handle,
is ideal for splitting kindling & smallish stove wood. It can be
used one-handed. Note this axe’s poll is not hardened for use as a
sledge and
it is not designed to pound on a wedge.
The axe is provided with a grain-leather sheath with a snap fastener.
