Broad Axe (Carpenter's Axe), model
1800, a traditional Scandinavian design. The enlargement shows clearly
the marked increase in thickness near the cutting edge. This axe is
suitable for cutting through trunks and for rough joint work; both sides
of the blade are ground. Weight 1.85 kg, length of handle 50 cm, over
all length 54 cm, blade 19 cm. A 36 page Axe book is included with
