CAREFULLY ALL CONDITIONS SET FORTH BELOW. Federal
law prohibits shipment of automatic knives across state lines, with the
following exceptions:
(1)
To civilian
or Armed Forces supply and procurement officers and employees of the Federal
Government ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in connection with the
activities of the Federal Government;
(2)
To supply or
procurement officers of the National Guard, the Air National Guard, or Militia
of a State, Territory or the District of Columbia ordering, procuring, or
purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of such organization;
(3)
To supply or
procurement officers or employees of the municipal government of the District of
Columbia or of the government of any State or Territory, or any county, city or
other political subdivision of a State or Territory;
(4)
To
manufacturers of such knives or bona fide dealers therein in connection with any
shipment made pursuant of an order from any person designated in paragraphs (1),
(2) and (3).
Note: Available for sale to Armed Forces or Law
Enforcement or Government personnel. Please
check permissibility within your state or locality.

OSO GRANDE KNIFE & TOOL COMPANY will sell no
such knives to any individual outside the State of California without the above
conditions being met. We must have
proof of your status that conforms to the above conditions BEFORE we can send
such knives across State lines. Proof
would include a request for such knives on letterhead from your organization and
picture ID showing your status with such organization.
Photocopies are acceptable. A
statement, which states that the knives are being purchased pursuant to the
above conditions and signed by the purchaser, must also be included.
To effectively meet this requirement, make a photocopy of your request on
letterhead with your ID. Also photocopy the above statement and add that you agree to
the above conditions and that the knives are being sold pursuant to those
conditions. After verification of
these facts, your knives will be shipped. We
apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, however this is what our
government requires for the sale of such knives. Thank you!
It is the responsibility of the buyer, not the
seller, to ascertain, and obey, all applicable local, state, federal and
international laws in regard to the possession, and use, of any item purchased
from OSO GRANDE KNIFE & TOOL COMPANY. All
equipment is sold subject to any local, state or federal ordinances.
Consult your local and state laws before ordering if you are in doubt. Absolutely no sales will be made to minors.
By placing an order, the Buyer represents that the products ordered would
be used in a lawful manner and that he/she is of legal age.
OSO GRANDE KNIFE & TOOL COMPANY will not be held liable for the
misuse of any product purchased from us or any of our distributors or dealers.
Also, since no product is 100% effective against attack, OSO GRANDE KNIFE
& TOOL COMPANY assumes no responsibility if a product purchased from us is
not effective in preventing bodily injury, dismemberment or death.

damages of any kind. These automatic knives carry no
warranty except as contained herein by the manufacturer.
Acknowledgment and Representations:

1716(G)(2)(14) provides in summary: Switchblade
knives can be shipped to civilian and armed forces supply and procurement
officers and employees of the Federal Government ordering or procuring or
purchasing such knives in connection with activities in the Federal government;
supply or procurement officers in the National Guard, the Air National Guard or
militia of the state or territory of the District of Columbia ordering,
procuring or purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of such
organizations; to supply or procurement officer or employees of the municipal
government of the District of Columbia or the government of any state or
territory of any county, city or other political subdivision of a state or
territory ordering, procuring or purchasing such knives in connection with the
activities of such government.
5 USC
1244 provides in summary:
Knives can be shipped by common carrier, that sale, transportation or
distribution, possession or intorduction into interstate commerce of switchblade
knives is authorized if it is pursuant to a contract with the armed forces or
any member or employee thereof acting in the performance of his or her duty may
possess switchblade knives and may have them shipped to him and sold to him or
her. The possession and
transportation upon his or her person of a switchblade knife or a blade 3 inches
or less is authorized to any handicapped individual who has the use of only one
arm.
Police Offers and Armed Forces Personnel must fax a
copy of their official identification material and government employees seeking
to procure these items in their official capacity must enter the order on their
government procurement forms.
