SureFire
8AX Commander Rechargeable Flashlight. It is hard to say enough
about the quality and performance of this rechargeable flashlight. It
shares the same patented design and uses the same batteries and charger as
the SureFire Nitrolon-constructed 8NX Commander. The differences lie in its premium
aluminum construction, super rugged military specification Type III hard
anodized (available in Black or Olive Drab) and the use of an optically
coated, tempered Pyrex lens window.

The SureFire 8AX000 is the flashlight only (no
charger) and comes with one B90 rechargeable battery which gives 110
lumens of light for 50 minutes. The SureFire 8AX Commander features unique
switching originally developed for law enforcement- twist for constant on,
or depress the tailcap button for momentary illumination or emergency
signaling.
When you want to
recharge your standardized B90 battery, simply unscrew the flashlight's
head, drop out the battery, and pop it in the charger. There are no loose
parts to deal with when you do this, and it only takes 5 to 10 seconds.
It will take you less than two hours to fully recharge a completely
discharged battery. At under 7
inches long and less than 10 ounces in weight, the 8AX is a pleasure to
carry and easy to use. Numerous accessories have been developed to further
enhance the 8AX's usefulness, as separate items. Together, they give you
everything you need when operating in a low light environment.
