It is too dangerous to use. The spike drops extremely low to your wrist, so wear something that covers your entire forearm.
The beard on the blade is too pointy. It will get caught on either your clothes or your opponents clothes. This thing is a backpack sized fireman tool. You WILL hurt yourself if you fight with it.
I have the trench hawk trainer and will be buying one of those in real form, because it has none of the issues the war hawk has.
I decided to give it to someone with and angle grinder, for Christmas. Chop the spike off and round off the bottom millimeter (possibly centimeter) off the blade's beard.
For your safety, buy the trench hawk. How many solid wood doors will you have to tear apart in your life? The warhawk is not combat safe in any way shape or form.

i own one and did abuse it in matter that would had destroyed others models, i took down dozen of trees with it, dig the ground through dirt, sand and mostly rocks, pierced and shredded steel sheath (old rusty one but still steel) throw it on tree and even bounced off rocks . so i believe i am well placed to talk about it, one minus point though is that the handle is slippery specially when wet, so adding rubber, or leather stripes or tape on the handle would improve the grip%uFEFF.
