I bought another for a second home that we also rent, to keep in my locked closet so I always have a good knife. This size is great if you only want to have one knife though I also own several other sizes from paring knife to bread knife. I have used Chicago Walnut for years. They are comfortable in the hands, and sharpen easily. DO NOT EVER put in the dishwasher, and try to avoid soaking - instead clean up promptly. If you do see the handle is a bit dry, rub it with oil (I just use vegetable oil). Use your honing tool to keep the edge, and occasionally you will actually need to sharpen.

My mother used them before me, in the 50s, and they never failed her. She used them into HER 70s, and the blades were thin by then, but not dull! For me, the grip is absolutely right. I love these knives.

I've used this knife for 33 years and replaced it once before when I lost it. I missed so much until the new one arrived. It's my favorite and I use it everyday.

My very, very best knife, as sharp as a razor blade! I bought it 20 years ago on a Swiss flea market, not knowing it was something really special!
