Designed to make outdoor living simpler and brighter, the Bladelight embeds six exceptionally bright LED lights into the glass-reinforced nylon handle creating a fixed-blade knife that lights up a campsite.

The six intensely bright LED lights (three on each side of the blade) have a measured output of 37 lumens, enough to help sharpen a stick for marshmallows, light up a late night cookstove or help illuminate the way to the outhouse. The fixed blade -- made of 8CR13MOV stainless steel -- is anchored to a glass reinforced nylon handle. Two AAA batteries will provide more than four hours of burntime for the LED lights. A sheath is included.

The Bladelight Camp knife by SOG is definitely not a gimmick, the the new SOG Bladelite is a serious fixed blade that really works well. What really sets the Bladelight knife apart is it's sheath and it's surprisingly powerful 37 lumen 6 LED flashlight. The beam, emited from 6 LED bulbs, is quite powerful and focused. The light works both sheathed and unsheathed which ads to the Blade Lights versatility in the field - this is made possible by the six cutouts in the sheath. The Bladelights output is equally bright with the sheath on or off. Another nice feature is the sheath has an indentation which one to make small wire/line cuts while the knife is sheathed. You can also keep your edge sharp with the handy built-in sharpener on the sheath.

The knife handle feels good in hand and you provides a good grip with the non-slip rubber handle. The blade steel is 8Cr13MoV which provides an economical balance of decent edge retention and corrosion resistance.
