C152RNP: Chaparral Folding Knife Raffir Noble Brass/Acrylic
Spyderco's Chaparral series is a family of gentlemen's folding knives that express the same elegantly slim pocket knife format with a variety of state-of-the-art handle materials and treatments. These elegantly crafted knives showcase Spyderco's most advanced manufacturing techniques and feature full-flat-ground CTS XHP blades, sturdy lockback mechanisms, and reversible wire clips that blend discreetly with virtually any color of clothing.
The C152RNP Chaparral Raffir Noble features stainless steel liners and smoke-colored Raffir Noble scales. Manufactured in Denmark, Raffir is a strikingly beautiful composite material that encapsulates metal mesh in a translucent epoxy resin. Raffir Noble combines a smoke-colored acrylic with brass and copper wire mesh to yield a unique, semi-transparent, three dimensional pattern. All other details of this knife are consistent with the Chaparral family, including a full-flat-ground CTS XHP blade, a sturdy lockback mechanism, and a reversible deep-pocket wire clip positioned for tip-up carry.
A Chaparral is a shrub native to the Western United States with the unique ability to perennially survive, revive and regenerate after being destroyed by drought and it even survived the devastating California wildfires of 2007. It’s also what Spyderco calls a new and continuing series of gentlemen’s folders. Mid-sized Chaparral folders will have identical blade and handle profiles but showcase variant handle materials. Handle options will be chosen for their elegant appearance and functional utility with a focus directed at making the Chaparral series unique as well as a serious contender in the gent’s knife genre.
It's easy to write, when all you do is tell the truth. I personally do not believe you have any competition. Your attention to detail, superb staff, extraordinary products, phenomenal service, and outstanding prices ensure that. The professionalism that you all exhibit is the benchmark all others will have to try and measure up to... Perhaps not impossible, but daunting to say the least. In having you as an "aiming point," the industry will have to improve, if it wants to even approach you, and your company... The end result will be better for everyone. Please keep-up the great work.
