97KMS: Kukri Machete w/ Sheath
There's no single edged weapon that we can think of that can out-chop or out-cut a good Kukri. Of course it's true that the best Kukris, like our LTC and Gurkha models, can be somewhat expensive. While those "thoroughbreds" perform extraordinarily well for the money that they cost, it sometimes seems that what's required is a good, inexpensive, "workhorse" model.
Our Kukri Machete IS that workhorse. It features the distinctive weight-forward balance of our "top-of-the-line" models, and always presents its edge on an angle so it's guaranteed to "bite" DEEP with every stroke. This knife, with its included, sturdy Cordura sheath is a solid value--a bargain priced Kukri-- ready for long, hard work.

Chopping power of an axe with the finesse of a machete. An awesome survival tool whether you are in the jungle or pine wood forest.
Awesome machete! if you cant afford a 'higher end' kukri this is the one i'd recommend! it chops, slashes brush and cuts like a dream! the thin machete blade has a nice spring to it and in combination with the polypropylene handle absorbs shock! however if you aren't wearing gloves the checkered handle can have some hot spots, so what I did was wrap some paracord around the handle to make it more comfortable, however it didn't come very sharp so I spent some time with the sharpeing stones to touch it up, with so much versatility at such a cheap price their is no excuse to not have one! a 4/5!
I have owned the Cold Steel Kukri Machete for several years now and it's one of the most used large blades in my knife collection. In spring hiking it is common to come across downed trees blocking trails. This Kukri makes short work of the branches sticking out so we can get over/around the down trees with minimal effort. The curved blade really improves the cutting ability and the Kukri isn't too heavy to carry for day hikes. We also use it at home for cutting large brush down to a manageable size.
