Let's start out by saying that I have thrown this spear into old junk car doors, compacted straw bales, traditional oak round shields, ballistic gel torsos and a cinderblock wall (I'm not always spot on). The shaft I received was warped and the head wasn't razor sharp nor should it be. It's went through everything I've thrown it except the block wall. The steel is a bit soft for spring steel but for 60$ it's a great deal and will destroy pretty much whatever you're trying to destroy. Also to note, the spear i received did not come with the screws needed to attach the head but i already had some so no big deal.
Buy it and have it even if you don't use it. It's an ass kicker.
Fast shipping, packaged well. The blade requires attachment to the shaft. I use this spear when we go fishing in the swamps to keep those curious gators from moving in too close on our fishing spots. I would make this purchase again.
The spear blade seems to be very tough but the handle seems to be taken off the shop push broom and seems weak, the spear came very dull and I mean dull it can't even cut butter but it is pointy if that means anything. Compared to other cold steel products they missed the ball on this one but it will make a great display item.
