CRKT K490KKS Ken Onion Shenanigan Folder, Black Tanto ComboEdge Blade, Aluminum Handles. Custom knifemaker Ken Onion uses his form and function design prowess in the Shenanigan T folder, especially in the blade profile. This tactical knife version of the original utility work horse Shenanigan features a tanto blade shape that is purposely pointed for piercing, while having a high hollow grind ideal for a razor thin cutting edge. Blade actuation is quick and efficient with the use of the blade flipper. All blades are premium AUS 8 steel, black titanium nitride coated for heavy tactical use, non-glare, and corrosion resistant.
The Shenanigan T handle shape provides confident grip through nicely profiled palm swell, overall dimensional balance and a swept finger groove. A cold forged aluminum handle features texture checkering for non-aggressive, effective tactical grip.
This locking-liner folder design offers all of the tactical "tool" qualities you need--without drawing unwanted attention with its clean, sleek look.

About Ken Onion - "Though I have been a devout knife collector since childhood, collecting mostly production knives and anything else I could find, I was unaware of the custom knife industry until 1989 when I saw an issue of Knives Illustrated at a local drug store. From there I found a local knife maker named Stan Fujisaka and begged him to teach me. I made my first knife in November 1991 and have continued the craft since. While recovering from back surgery in 1996, I decided to try to design a folder that was easier to manipulate than what was available, and not a switchblade. The result was the first assisted opening knife I called "Speed Safe" After finding some information on the whole patent process and consultation from an attorney, I got my first patent, creating a whole new category of knives between manual and auto.
THANKS Not just for the great prices but for your patience with me dealing with my "card" issues.... P.S. + the knives were great (of course) THANKS again.
