Warren Thomas and QTRM5TR have collaborated on the production of these all-titanium/G-10 folders, allowing custom knife collectors to obtain a Warren Thomas original at a great price, for a limited time.

A total of 100 pieces of Warren Thomas/QTRM5TR knives hand-made/fit, serialized, custom ti anodize process have been produced.

It's namesake is considered the worlds rarest porpoise. It is endemic to the northern portion of the Gulf of California. Science believes that there are 100 (or less) still alive today.

The QSE-1 is by far the most technologically advanced knife that QTRM5TR Knives has ever put their name on. From tip to tail, the engineering rivals that of the world's most advanced aerospace methods.

Quartermaster Knives started with the blade and systematically laminated G-10 to the actual blade cutting surface on one side. Then they ground down the entire blade as if it was constructed of a single piece. The result is a bi-colored blade on its right side and a perfectly flat cutting surface on the left. When 2/3 of the width of the blade is created from the lightweight, strong, and somewhat flexible G-10 we relieve the user of several ounces of useless weight and provide the professional with an amazingly lightweight and effective tool for countless applications ("If one decides to deny the overwhelming urge to keep it mint!").

The Vaquita possesses a very modern, industrial look that has a strong tendency to scream 'art knife.' But somehow at the same time, yields to a sense of tough-tactical because of the confidence it instills in both forward and reverse grip.

The opening mechanism of the Vaquita is reminiscent of the dorsal fin of an Orca whale. It's swept backwards slightly to pair with the spine of the blade and serve it's purpose more ergonomically when using one's opposite palm OR the edge of one's pocket to "catch the dorsal" fin and eject the blade.

Titanium hardware has been used throughout the design and no amount of time or money was spared in the creation of this model. Quartermaster Knives is proud to call this knife the QSE-1 "Vaquita" and proud that it bears the QTRM5TR Name.
