Charlie's Wheel Slicing Edge Sharpening System will put a razor edge on your knives in seconds. This complete knife sharpening kit has two laminated paper wheels which give a polished razor edge to items like scissors and knives. Both sharpening wheels fit on any ordinary bench grinder motor that is capable of using 8” diameter wheels. These wheels work best on high speed motors capable of running at 3450 to 3600 rpm. Contains sharpening wheel and polishing wheel made to fit any 5/8 inch or 1/2 inch shaft bench grinder. Use these wheels to put a professional quality, razor sharp, burr-free edge on your cutlery in seconds. Each 8 in. x 3/4 in. wheel will sharpen 300-400 knives before requiring reconditioning. Includes one CW-2 reconditioning kit. Easy to use. Grinder not included.

- 1 Silicon Carbide Coated Grinding Wheel (220 grit silicon carbide). 5/8 inch hole in center.
- 1 slotted buffing/polishing wheel. 5/8 inch hole in center.
- 2 bushing adapters if needed to adapt to 1/2 inch hole in center.
- Conditioning Grease for Silicon Carbide Wheel (reddish-yellow)... used to create a burr on the tool.
- Buffing Compound Rouge for Slotted Wheel (white)... used to polish the knife edge.
- Extra 220 Grit Silicon Carbide for Reconditioning Grinding Wheel... used to refurbish the sharpening wheel 3-4 times. That's enough to sharpen approximately 1200-1600 knives!

Sharpening Instructions:
First, coat the Silicon Carbide Grinding Wheel with the reddish-yellow conditioning grease, then use The Grinding Wheel to create a burr on the tool.
Next, add some white buffing compound to the Slotted Wheel and use it to polish the burr off.
This process provides a polished razor’s edge at any angle up to 50°. The kit has enough extra grit to re-coat the wheel about 3 times. It usually sharpens 100 to 300 blades before resurfacing is needed.
