Yellow 550 Paracord 100 ft. Our nylon parachute cord, also called paracord or 550 cord is made in the U.S. by a certified government contractor. It is certified 550 lbs. test cord with seven internal strands and a colored woven exterior. It is GSA compliant and meets Mil-Spec. You will find it to be durable, water-resistant, rot-resistant, and surprisingly strong.
This para cord is trusted and used by our armed forces. Paracord is the ultimate utility cord and proves itself useful whenever you need something stronger than string or twine but lighter and less bulky than a rope. Ideal stuff for tie-downs, cargo transport, camping and more. Keep it in your car, your pack, your bug out bag, your camping gear, or your work bench for quick tie downs, rapid gear repairs, or simply to replace a lace in your boot.
Paracord is also used by military personnel and artisans to make bracelets, lanyards and other woven or knotted accessories. It can also be used to wrap the shaft of a knife or impact weapon, improving the grip. There are as many uses for paracord as there are creative people.
We offer paracord in 50-foot, 100-foot, 600-foot and 1000-foot lengths. Please be sure you select the color and length you need.

US Military issue paracord is specified under the MIL-C-5040H standard. The Mil-Spec specifies six types: I, IA, II, IIA, III, IV. Type III, the most common, is nominally rated with a minimum breaking strength of 550 pounds, thus the term "550 cord". The US military specification for paracord contains specific denier figures for the sheath strands and inner yarns, but there are no overall diameter requirements for the cord.
NOTE: Due to your monitor settings as well as the manufacturing process some paracord colors may vary slightly from how they appear on your screen.
