Victorinox Forschner 40148 Roast Beef Slicer, 14 Inch Wavy Edge Blade, 1.25 Inch at Rosewood Handle. The Victorinox 40148 slicing knife makes it easy to carve perfect, precise cuts of ham, pork, fish, beef, and much more. Longer and narrower than common carving knives, the slicing knife is an excellent choice for long, smooth strokes and can make quick work of larger portions of product. The stamped construction incorporated in the making of this knife make for a much thinner, lighter blade. The serrated edge is proven to last longer, requires less sharpening, and cuts quicker than a standard straight blade. At 14 inches tip to handle this knife is perfectly suited for bigger jobs!
It has a rosewood handle, adding a touch of class to any culinary setting. As with all Victorinox knives, the handle is ergonomically designed to minimize wrist tension and provides a natural fit. Hand-washing of wooden handles is recommended.
The blade has an exceptionally keen, razor-sharp edge. The high carbon, stainless steel blade is hand finished by skilled craftsmen at Victorinox in Switzerland. A special tempering process is used to produce an edge that can be resharpened over and over again. Each Victorinox knife is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished.
