I got TOPS to grind down that little finger choil in the middle of the handle and it%u2019s now 200 times more comfortable.
Best knife you can own in that size, imho.

The TOPS Knives Armageddon fixed blade survival bush knife is an all-terrain do-it-all knife, designed by custom knifemaker Trace Rinaldi. While not designed to be a true machete, the Armageddon is a cross between a heavy machete and a camp knife. We refer to this beast of a knife as an all-terrain knife. The Armageddon features a massive .25 in. thick flat ground blade of 1095 High Carbon Alloy with a recurved cutting edge that makes short work of big cutting jobs. Includes a custom form fitted Kydex belt carry sheath. The handle has ergonomic linen Micarta scales that provide a great grip. An index choil enables you to choke up on the blade for detailed cutting tasks. All hand finished and made in the USA.

Incredible BEAST of a knife!!! There's so much good to say about this insanely good camp/survival/end of the world knife! The craftsmanship of this blade is second to none. This is true, good ole American craftsmanship and obviously built by people who are skilled and take great pride in their work. They are not just throwing junk together and collecting a paycheck.
The blade is thick and very strong and comes out of the box sharp enough to shave your arm hair. It pulled the hair a little but with a handful of passes on my spyderco sharpmaker it was smooth and just rolled the hair off! This thing is scary sharp for being as big as it is. The handles are beautiful and offer great grip.

I would give this knife a 9.5 only because I don't like the choil on the handle, for me it get's in the way during chopping. If it wasn't for that this knife would easily be a 10 and maybe to you it would be regardless. I highly recommend this knife.
The Armageddon knife, in my opinion, is the best survival knife for general outdoor use on the market. The Armageddon has a 1/4 inch thick steel blade almost all the way up to the tip. The one bad thing about the Armageddon is the sheath, it has Velcro instead of snaps or buckles. Regardless the knife is a must buy and considering on the tops website it retails for $299 the price I paid was $200, which to me is a really great deal. Overall, even though the sheath could be better, this knife is fantastic.
