P38P51: GI P-38 and P-51 Can Opener Combo
This is pack of two of the army's greatest tools, the P-38 Can Opener and the larger P-51 Can Opener. Each of these can be used for dozens of jobs. Makes a great can opener, cutting edge, groove cleaner, screw drive, clean finger nails, open seams and many, many more practical uses. Now you can have one of each size. Made in the USA by US Shelby (Make sure they are stamped US Shelby to guarantee made in the USA).
The P-38 Can Opener is key chain sized and consists of a short metal blade that serves as a handle (and also a screwdriver to the resourceful), with a small, hinged metal tooth that folds out to pierce the can lid.
The P-51 (2 inches long) is the larger version of the P-38 (1.5 inches long) and was often used by mess hall cooks to open the big trays and large cans of chow. The P-51 is a full 2 inches long. The added length affords more leverage and doesn't require as much thumb pressure to use. Some prefer them over the P-38s because a P-51 will open cans much easier and faster and will last much longer than the P-38. We recommend having one in every car, on every key-ring and included in every emergency survival kit.
Don’t get caught in a thunderstorm, hurricane or ice storm without a working can opener. The US P-38 and P-51 Can Openers are perfect for camping, hiking, fishing or for the survivalist in your family.
This lightweight, simple can opener can be a life saver In an emergency. The P-51 is less expensive, smaller, and lighter than the average can opener, making it a good fit for small kits or as a backup opener. Each is small enough include in any pack or attach to your keyring so it is always at the ready... stick an extra in your glove compartment, tackle box, travel gear, survival kit, stored canned goods or emergency supply kit.
I ordered the Cold Steel Frontier Bowie through you today by phone. I just wanted to say "thanks" for being so polite and helpful. Look forward to doing more business in the future.
