Cold Steel War Hawk Combat Tomahawk (8.5 Inch Drop Forged 1055HC Hawk w/ 3 Inch Edge) 19 Inch Black Polypropylene Handle + Secure-Ex Sheath 90PTWH
The Cold Steel War Hawk represents the future of modern tactical tomahawk design.
Its sharp cutting edge and wedge style spike offer numerous tactical options for our nation's modern warriors. Drop forged from 5150 carbon steel and expertly differentially hardened, the head of the War Hawk will withstand tremendous blows as well as the awful stress of prolonged use.
Just like the Trench Hawk, the handle of the War Hawk is also highly resistant to shock and impact and will withstand abuse that would easily break even a tough hickory handle. And, as an added benefit, is easily and cheaply replaced when finally worn out or broken from repeated throwing.*
Finally, to help protect its owner from its cutting edge and sharp spike, it comes with a patented innovative articulated Secure-Ex sheath.
The War Hawk combines the tactical styling and material used in the famous Cold Steel Trench Hawk with historically inspired design elements from classic fighting hand-axes of old.
With its wide bearded axe head and curved reinforced spike it is a thoroughly modern fighting hawk and breaching tool - Capable of cutting or smashing through virtually any obstacle!
*NOTE: any handle can, and may, break eventually.

i own one and did abuse it in matter that would had destroyed others models, i took down dozen of trees with it, dig the ground through dirt, sand and mostly rocks, pierced and shredded steel sheath (old rusty one but still steel) throw it on tree and even bounced off rocks . so i believe i am well placed to talk about it, one minus point though is that the handle is slippery specially when wet, so adding rubber, or leather stripes or tape on the handle would improve the grip%uFEFF.
Thank you for the awesome hatchet and fast shipping! Great customer service A+++++++
