The 2016 Bark River Canoe fixed blade knife is very unique. The original canoe knife was made from 1903 to 1922 by Marbles. In the Marbles line, it was replaced with a shorter blade version of their ideal. Their good friend Jim Nowka came up with the concept that it could be made full tang. The original was hidden stick tang. This also gave them the opportunity to address the handle length. The original had a very short handle and was the only complaint folks back in the early days had with the knife. The 2016 Canoe is a historical pattern that has now been improved for efficient use today. This version is light, fast in hand, and razor sharp. This beautiful and highly effective knife is perfect for EDC. It is supplied with the Fox River leather sheath. It will give you a lifetime of service.
