The lightest, slimmest, most compact Sting fixed blade knife ever created.
A.G. Russell introduced the original Sting in the 1970s and the latest iteration, the Sting 3B, hails from a pedigree that is both proven and prodigious. The Sting 3B is a boot knife that is ultra lightweight, yet large enough for self defense in any close quarters situation. The satin dagger blade is sharpened on both edges and is ideal for self defense. G10 handle scales add texture to the skeletonized full tang knife and they're removable for easy cleaning or customization. A nylon fob adds real estate to the handle for a solid purchase in hand.
The CRKT Sting 3B includes a glass reinforced nylon sheath with a removable stainless steel spring clip for attaching to the boot, waistband or gear. The clip is reversible for tip up or tip down carry. The sheath has a molded lanyard hole for attaching paracord for tip up neck carry. The sheath retention is solid and strong.
The Sting 3B is lightweight, portable and ready to protect at a moment's notice.

I bought this to be a standard boot knife cause I've carried them for years. This one though just seemed off from the beginning. The paracord knot is completely impractical, the blade strength is questionable, then again it is thin. I'm new to CRKT products but this is the first one to ever disappoint
Spectacular knife and designed by one of the best. Awesome feel in the hand, and extremely light. The sheath holds the knife snuggly until needed for use. Great in the boot, or in the pocket. Awesome for self defense if needed. CRKT rocks!
This knife is one the very best concealed carry self defense knives on the market.
Here's 3 big reasons why:
1) The blade is the right length and thickness for carry comfort. The 8Cr13MoV
high-carbon stainless is a well respected steel in the upper mid range of quality
which is easy to work and has decent edge retention.
2) The sheath has a reversible clip for tip up carry.
3) The sheath is also a positive locking sheath for blade retention in tip up carry configuration.
Weapon retention is always important.
The sheath really sold me because I had already envisioned a certain type of carry configuration.
CRKT has solved the conundrum of effortless, convenient carry with a very secure, locking retention sheath.
Reversing the clip for tip up carry yields a configuration which is perfect for clipping to the inside of the
gun holster pocket in the spandex UnderTech Undercover concealment shirt.
So many sheaths on the market for this type and size of blade are simply not configurable in this way. With
those that do have a reversible clip, especially in this size range, the retention security seemed questionable.
I think this sheath design is important because simply carrying a blade as a neck knife with para cord around
your neck is not ideal. Take a spill, hit the concrete with an aggressor, and you might not even be able to
locate the thing swinging around your neck.
Clipping it inside a pocket of a concealment shirt tip up allows easy access plus you know exactly where it is
at all times.
I'll be buying another one soon from OSO Grande. A very well thought out product in terms of durability, handling, convenience and safety.
