Kabar always lives up to their name. If you've had a Kabar knife in a similar style to this then you know what to expect. The 1095 Cro-van steel it's made of is top notch and holds its edge very well. This particular Kabar has a very grippy handle too. I doubt it would slip out of anyone's hands easily whether it were wet or not. Highly recommended to anyone that needs a fixed blade knife for most any need.
This is a nice looking knife with a nice weight to it. It feels sturdy, not like it would break when you need to use it like so many other cheaper knives. It comes with a leather sheath (I wasnt sure if it would when I bought it) so I bought the optional hard kydex sheath. This hard kydex sheath fits the knife much better and makes it easier to access it quickly. The leather sheath it comes with is very tight fitting so I would recommend you buy the hard sheath. Overall I would recommend this knife. Its great looking and well crafted.
I recently purchased the Cold Steel Norse hawk, Spike Hawk and the Bearded Axe. I found these to be excellent products, well made with great fit and finish. Oso Grande Knives service was equally good. Looking forward to doing business with them in the future.
