Its unique blade profile combines the hardcore cutting performance of a broad, leaf-shaped blade with the enhanced utility and dexterity of a slightly hooked point. Full-flat ground from CPM S30V powder-metallurgy stainless steel and featuring a PlainEdge cutting edge, its hybrid shape and exceptional edge geometry allow it to excel at all types of cutting tasks. A generously sized Trademark Round Hole also proudly identifies its Spyderco pedigree and ensures swift, positive one-handed opening. The Myrtle's blade is paired with an equally unique handle that consists of a solid titanium scale on the reverse side and a skeletonized titanium liner, a titanium bolster, and a solid marbled carbon fiber scale on the front side. The solid titanium scale serves as the foundation of a sturdy Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism that locks the blade securely when open. It is also the anchor point of a wide hourglass clip that ensures convenient right-side tip-up carry for instant access. The Myrtle's unique clip also does double duty as an overtravel stop for the R.I.L. lock and, like the titanium scale, liner, and bolster, features a handsome non-reflective stonewash finish.
