DOVO Steelware was founded in 1906. At the beginning, DOVO was purely a factory producing open razors, with a forge and hollow grinding shop. The founders, Mr. Dorp and Mr. Voos, employed a staff of 13 employees. At Dovo, diligent skilled workers craft steel masterpieces with meticulous precision and fine craftsmanship. Their specialized expertise has been handed down over generations and they face the challenge of exceeding the already high standards of the Solingen ordinance. The Solingen quality is a minimum requirement for DOVO, which is fulfilled by their entire product range.
I purchased two sets of these exceptionally priced and well made cutlery sets to give as Christmas gifts. I was very pleased with the overall quality of both the knives and the block. However, even more exceptional was the customer service provided by Bibiana when my shipment was stalled by a production slowdown.
