This knife cuts through brush so fast you have to watch you don%u2019t hurt yourself. The sheath does hold moisture, so you have to keep the blade well oiled.
Every now and then you come across a tool which borders on art. You buy it for a purpose and then you are reluctant to use it because it is so perfect that you don't want to spoil the beauty of it. It fits your hand perfectly. It is designed and executed in such a manner that you think that it may become a collectors item of increasing value in the future. This is such an item. I bought one of these and was highly impressed. Then I bought a second figuring that I would pick the lesser of the two for actual use. It was a difficult comparison. The quality was very consistent. If you have ever bought a high end bench plane you will understand. If you appreciate beauty in function buy this tool.

I've had this Golok for about one year. I've taken it on several camping trips and long hikes. I originally bought this to see if it would make a viable replacement for my Gransfors Small Forest axe. The answer is yes. It chops and handles with power and precision. It doesn't have quite as much power as the axe, but it is close. Plus, it is lighter, easier to handle, easier to pack, and has more overall uses.
As soon as you pick up this machete you know it is high quality. Came sharp out of the box, exceptional quality. You can't possibly beat this for the price. Sheath is thick high quality leather. Very happy with this purchase.
