I bought this brush because of was tired of going through cheap brushes. After 8 months of use and abuse, this brush is still holding up strong. All my other brushes started falling apart after a couple weeks. At first this brush has a pretty bad smell which is expected (badger hair). After a few uses, the smell goes away. It has a good weight to it and is very sturdy. The bristles are soft and very effective in applying shave soap/cream. Very satisfied!
