This Manix 2 Sprint Run is a dependable, all-purpose folding knife that showcases Spyderco's made-in-USA quality and patented Ball Bearing Lock. Instead of the standard blade steel used on this model, it features Crucible's CPM-S90V, a state-of-the-art powder metallurgy steel enriched with vanadium. CPM-S90V's high vanadium content favors the formation of hard vanadium carbides instead of chromium carbides, enhancing wear resistance and leaving more free chromium available to provide superior corrosion resistance. The PlainEdge blade is full-flat ground for exceptional edge geometry and features an oversized Trademark Round Hole for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening.

Constructed with full stainless steel liners, a stainless steel backspacer and black and brown burled G10 scales, the Manix 2's handle is home to a high-strength Ball Bearing Lock mechanism. One of Spyderco's strongest, smoothest operating lock mechanisms, it consists of a hardened steel ball bearing encased in a polymer cage. When the knife is opened, a spring plunger drives the ball bearing forward onto a ramp on the blade, wedging it securely open. Pulling back on the cage releases the lock and allows the blade to pivot smoothly closed. Both opening and closing are easily performed with either hand and without ever placing your fingers near the blade’s edge.

To ensure instant access and ease of carry, the Manix 2 includes a reversible hourglass clip that supports left or right-side tip-up carry. It complements the blade's Trademark Round Hole and lock mechanism to make every aspect of the knife's carry, deployment, and operation completely ambidextrous.

Sprint Runs

Sprint Runs are limited edition production runs of knives not found in Spyderco's regular product line. Some are special versions of current models, while others are uniquely different expressions of classic, discontinued designs. No matter what form they take, every Sprint Run is a truly distinctive, one-time-only event. Once that knife is sold out, it will not be produced again in that exact form. That makes Spyderco Sprint Runs some of the most desirable and collectible knives they make. This is a limited 1,000 piece run.
