Ontario 1-18SBK Machete Sawback, 18 w/ Sawback, No Sheath. Ontario Knife has been manufacturing the 1-18 machete under U.S. Government specifications for many years. The same quality that goes into their durable 1-18 machete is found in all the machetes they manufacture - 1095 Black oxide coated blade steel - Full tang construction - High impact shatterproof polymer handles - Steel compression rivets - .125" thick blades - Sheaths available separately for all machetes.

Ontario 1-18 Military Machete features an 18" blade of 1095HC steel with saw teeth and with black oxide coating and an overall length of 23.25". Sheath sold separately.

I've owned only 2 of the 18 inch OKC machetes in 40 years and I've still got one that was used to begin with. I've got the 12 and 22 inch machetes made by OKC and I know without a doubt that they will last the rest of my life. I've put mine through hell and the only thing I've got to say is the handles could be more rounded. No other machete has been able to take what I've put these through. I live off the land part time of the year and I've always got my machete on hand for all my heavy cutting needs. I thank OKC for the best blade money can buy, for myself and our troops.

It has a great handle, solid as a rock and comfortable. A great survival tool.

What can you say, this is an Ontario Knives machete. It is an absolute beast and the blade is sharp out of the box, but it can be even sharper. I purchased the optional sheath for it as I use it in the field for thick brush clearing.

I received the OKC 1-18SBK machete in a timely fashion. It's thicker than any machete I've ever owned and it really made clearing the brush (blackberries) out on our property. I also bought the nylon scabbard. All in all, I'm extremely pleased and recommend it to anyone. It's truely the last machete you'll ever need.
