It is very sturdy and sharp even though it's not metal. I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. It's big. Like bigger than you might want to try to conceal. I am glad OsoGrandeKnives also had an optional sheath for it for a few more bucks.

Good knife for general purpose won't rust or set off metal detector because it's synthetic. Very sturdy and Rigid would trust it in a self defense situation and very sharp. So far it holds a edge good and great price. Would recommend.

If youre familiar with cold steels FGX product line, then you'll know they are pretty tough. This one is just like that, only its also very sharp and pointy. The serrated edges are offset to give great tearing ability and the point is strong enough to poke into my laminate floor (dont ask!). If you like the other FGX items you should really enjoy this one.

As the days get shorter and the infamous time change occurs, we runners often find ourselves running in the dark. As a trail runner, nighttime runs can be fairly interesting. A good light is supremely important, but being back in the woods by myself, a decent weapon certainly makes me feel better. The weight of a regular knife is often an issue, with even a fairly light clip knife often turning into an aggravation and tugging down my waistband. This knife is an elegant solution. It is feather light, and being made of grivory, is rust-proof. I tuck it up under a sweatband on my wrist, so it rides on my forearm and is easily accessible. Admittedly, this is a last-ditch sort of implement, but it feels robust enough do a lot of damage, and is a vast improvement over a stick or a rock. It's my night running security blanket.

Every positive thing mentioned in the reviews is!! Just received mine in the mail and all I can say is that it is an awesome weapon, probably the best for the price and because it is non detectable it is even better!

Deadly knife. Toughest non-metal knife I own, and I have quite a few. Only complaint is that there should be a sheath for it.

This thing is BRUTAL. Previous versions of FGX knives had some flex to them. This has NONE. It is Thick, with a reinforced tip, and has no flex at all. The two main features are the reinforced tip, optimized for deep penetration, and serrated edges for vicious slashing. The hardness of the material, plus the serrations, make a slashing nightmare. No doubt this thing will shred flesh easily. This is perfect alt when you can't carry a gun, it is extremely lethal, for either stabbing or slashing. It is not a sorry substitute, it could be your main defensive knife. Needs a sheath for sure. I have some questions as to whether it can pass a scanner, given it's extreme density; trying to get an answer to that. Can't go wrong at this price anyway, like all Cold Steel products it is a steal. Also, the metal key-ring popped off easily with a slight twist of pliers, so no worries there, it's just a token.

This is a very nice knife dagger with sharp serrated edges. The length of the hilt is perfect for me. This is definitely a good self defense weapon. I definitely recommend.

This is a great knife for self-defense at an amazing price. It is 100% grivory and it is thick and stiff. It has a good weight and the edges as well as the top are not to be taken for granted. My only complaint is that I wish it had a sheath.
