Gave me a very pleasant first-time shave this morning with plenty of nice smelling lather and a smooth barrier between face and blade. For a low-cost soap it performed great.
Several of the shaving soaps can't hold the foam if you soap up your whole face. By the time you work your way around the foam has melted away and you have to brush up again.
What I love about this soap besides the clean almond scent is that after building up a good lather, you can apply it to your entire face and it will hold long enough to shave everywhere.
The lather was very thick within only a couple strokes of my brush. It did not thin on my face quickly as other soaps might. The shave was smoother than the Gillette Gel I used to use. I was very impressed. I have only used one other soap and was very disappointed. I tried Col. Conk and was very happy. The smell is also great!
