Colonel Conk Bay Rum Glycerin Shave Soap (2.0 oz. Bar) CC143

Gave me a very pleasant first-time shave this morning with plenty of nice smelling lather and a smooth barrier between face and blade. For a low-cost soap it performed great.

I have used other soaps for shaving, and they've left something to be desired, whether it was lubrication, scent or moisturizing. When I tried Col. Conk Bay Rum Soap, I was blown away.

The first thing I noticed was the scent, which is great. I can't stop smelling it even when I go to my sink I pickup my shaving mug and smell it.... It has a manly island smell with a slight spice scent. Then I lathered up and tried it while shaving with my Merkur Futur DE shaving razor. I load my brush up pretty good and get a good lather going in the mug but then I really work it up on my face, the lather is nice and thick. When shaving It lubricates very well and gives me a much smoother shave than the soap I was using before. It rinses off well, too, but leaves behind a hint of the scent, which I love. It also leaves my face felling smooth and soft. I finish off with a splash of Colonel Conk after shave and I'm set for the day. This soap gets perfect marks in all categories, I highly recommend trying it!

Great Shaving Soap! I am one of those dinosaurs that uses a shaving cup and brush to work up a good lather. This is very important to me as I am very fair complected, and using a razor will irritate my skin, especially if I am wearing a tie, or it is a very hot or blustery day.
Col. Conks Bay Rum soap makes a creamy very aromatic lather which makes shaving a dream.
The price is right, and it works as well or better than any other shave soap I have used.
