Hawkbill Folders
A Hawkbill folding knife has a blade shaped in a sharply curved hook like the talon of a raptor. The inside edge of the blade is sharpened and works particularly well for commercial fishermen who reach out and pull toward them while cutting line, webbing and netting. Hawkbill knives are also a favorite amongst landscapers for ease of cutting cactus leaves. Moreover, hawkbill blades can be effective for self-defense in specific, close-combat situations, primarily as slashing weapons. The curved, inward-hooking shape "bites" into material and prevents the blade from sliding off, which can create very damaging slash wounds.
The customer service was very helpful and straight forward.
