Out of the box, I was surprised and excited to see how big it was. I don%u2019t do any tricks with it, I got it to replace my old CIA letter open and I am super glad I bought this. In one word: stout. This is worth way more than the few dollars they are selling it for.

I got this Tanto and the Serrated Spear Point because a wanted a cheap non-detectable knife for self defense. These fit the bill perfectly and both of them are fun to flip and very cool as well. The price is worth it and shipping was fast.

These are amazing and for the price a no brainer if you like butterfly knives. I've had the 1 edge taped and not and when your smooth enough the teeth don't bite that bad. I just ordered the tanto version, fast shipping, great value.

I have a collection of polymer fixed blade knives and they are great but when I saw this one I grabbed it because I wanted one that could be carried in my pocket without worry of being cut. This is perfect for that and it is really big when opened. The serrated Grivory blade is quite sharp. I will only be using it for defensive purposes so no need to worry about re-sharpening. Shipping from OGK was ultra fast and their price was fair.

Do not let the fact that this is not a metal knife fool you as it can be deadly! It is very light and tough. You can flip it with some practice but the dagger edge makes it difficult. It has a sharp point and the edges could cut flesh if you wanted to. This thing Could severely injure or kill if need be. You can hide this virtually anywhere and take them almost anyplace. It can even be hidden in underwater with no worry of rust or corrosion. This is a good option for a self defense tool and while I don't carry it everyday I have it available for those times when I need an absolutely covert tool. Like another reviewer said it passes both the wand detectors and the pass through metal detectors.

I got this very promptly. It is a pretty amazing product, since it's completely made of high impact plastic. The only downside is it is serrated on both sides (I've never seen a serrated balisong in the first place). So, that makes practicing tricks much more difficult. My fingers were raw when doing tricks fast because of the serrated edges.

I'm not a Balisong/Butterfly knife flipper, so I don't know any tricks. I only bought this knife 'cause it's so inexpensive and for the novelty of it. I took it to work out of curiosity to see what it looked like on X-ray and to see if it would pass through the metal-detectors. Folded up it was not easily identifiable as a weapon (certainly not as a knife) and was not detectable with either the walk-through or the wand detectors. As a weapon, "It will CUT!" The jagged edges are brutal, and the stabbiness is wicked sharp.

I want to start by saying that this knife is meant as a thrusting knife and it will pierce flesh with ease! The knife also has sharp serrations that if placed on skin with a sawing motion would tear into it and cut deep. The plastic the blade is made of is thick and tough. The handle feels light but is up for the task and will not break using it to thrust or slash. I've seen a review on youtube and the reviewer claimed the knife was marketed wrong but in my opinion that is foolish at best this knife escapes metal detectors remains suitable and tough rips through a evil threat and flips back into its scales ready to defend the innocent when called upon. Cold Steel remains untouched among knife companies that ignore the roll of a warrior and the weapons that they choose to defend self home and community with. A gun is highest on the force continuum but a knife is silent stealth and versatile, and so is the fgx balisong. It can be hidden in watery locations doesn't need sharpening will not rust is super light weight and strikes like a cobra!!!!
